Sadly at the time of publishing this review, Heart Of Eternity did not qualify for my strict Guild Review (not a highly rated one anyway).
This was a beautifully written novel about a man who welcomes death and a woman who fights it. Their separate stories in the beginning grabs your interest as you know they must meet eventually. Their own journeys combined with the intrigue of how exactly they will meet keeps you hooked.
This book is relevant to our time, as we are at a place where humans are becoming more spiritual, more globally self aware and more ecologically responsible. This spiritual teachings in this book as Naida tries to fight cancer through spiritual healing is very germane, although to some readers it might be confusing, too drawn out and boring. At the same time, Jay battles his inner demon (a real one).
When Naida eventually meets the embattled and tormented Jay, she makes the ultimate sacrifice of love and tries to save him. A battle ensues between good and evil, light and darkness.
The book veered gradually from the spiritual to the paranormal/ metaphysical. It had a little of everything in it, which made for an interesting read. Apart from the fact that I found their love story too short to be classified as a romance, I rate this book between 3.5 to 4 stars for its unique and beautiful elements.
