Covet provides readers with the ultimate challenge. There are multi points of views, a very different language almost, and a whole cast of protagonists. This book seemed to be all over the place at first and it was hard to keep track of one story line as each chapter revolved around a different character and their story. Timelines seemed blurred, but overall the flow of the book worked.
Having said that, you are gripped from the start and have no choice but to read each story. They all fall into place in the end to reveal the pieces of the puzzle you have been waiting for. This is the true brilliance behind this author.
Scarlet Winters lives in Newfoundland with her mother and two sisters. After the tragic death of her beloved father, nothing is the same. Then a horrible accident turns her life upside down once more. Homeless and alone, she is taken in by Victor Smith the local Reverend. He introduces her to Christian Leblanc, who offers to pay for her to go to University. All is not as it seems as she soon discovers that Victor Smith is Victor Leblanc and along with his brother, Christian Leblanc these Vampires want to kill her. They inform her that she is a powerful Witch who holds the key to immortality and that they want her heart as it will grant them the real immortality they seek.  She escapes from their clutches only to be forced later on to join a powerful organization called The Selective.
Sebastian and Declynn are twins who suffer a tragedy on their own. They are saved by Victor and Christian Leblanc who turn them into unique Vampires.Through a series of events Sebastian is also forced to join The Selective. Soon the Witch and the powerful Vampire team up and join forces to fight the Leblanc brothers.
This book is so different to other books in this Adult Paranormal Fantasy genre, as it not only revolves around Witches and Vampires, but people from a small town who speak their own dialect. It is educational and very entertaining. Though I found some mistakes I still give this book a fabulous 4.5 stars!

Tina Traverse fell in love with writing at the age of eight when she wrote her version of the bible story, The Good Samaritan, for a homework assignment.
This love grew into a passionate affair and has been ongoing for thirty years; and there are no signs of it waning.
Though, she admits, when she was pregnant with her son Christian, the affair cooled.
Tina’s desire to write came calling once again when she needed to find a way to cope with heartbreaking news.
Christian was diagnosed with autism in 2010.
Her method of coping was to write a story about his journey called Forever, Christian.
Tina likes to joke that a girl can only write about real life for so long without jumping back into the world of make believe.
She loves to venture into the world of the supernatural; vampires and witches are her favourite!
Tina enjoys all sorts of vampires but admits that she is fascinated with the modern romantic vampire (think Twilight and The Vampire Diaries).
She is currently working on a vampire series based on her first published book, Destiny of The Vampire and has other projects in the works.
When Tina is not at the computer creating her exciting, magical worlds, she is kept on her toes by her two sons, Christian and Brandon.

Sometimes the author manages to curl up in her favourite chair with a good book.
