Where did your barbarian tribe, the Bathus, come from before settling in the castle above the village?

We lived in an immense valley, but had to share the hunting with other tribes, and there were often territorial feuds. In the spring we were plagued by fierce storms, and often strange circular clouds of monster proportions would fall from the sky causing panic and destruction. Though the ground was rich, and the river running through the valley provided a plentiful water supply, Bastian, my father and the leader of the clan, wanted better for us.

There were rumors about a much kinder place where a great people once reigned. Our distant cousin, Dolan, the chief of the Alamans, went on a journey of exploration and found a much more comfortable habitat. After his tribe had settled, he found the castle and village on the other side of the great mountain. He and the Alamans were happy where theyd set up their home, so he sent a messenger to my father to tell him of his discovery. We packed up and Bastian led us on an arduous journey to the unoccupied fortress. I was just a young boy at the time, but I remember the long trek. It was many hard days.

Is it unusual for barbarians to have magic powers, and how did you get them?

If youre asking about the special attributes of my manhood, we dont see that as a magical power, and the truth his, Im not supposed to speak of it outside the clan. I can tell you it is something with which the males are born, but we must undergo special training to learn how to harness its power. Though only males attend and learn the secrets, females volunteer to help us practice. Ive probably said too much already, so Ill have to stop there.

Most people think of barbarians as aggressive cavemen, since they are deemed primitive and uncivilized. What do you say about that?

My clan did dwell in caves. In the valley from which we came, we lived in a series of caves and tunnels. The fortress was seen as a magnificent blessing from the Gods. The many articles that were still there, things like tables and beds and chairs, werent completely foreign to us, but wed never known such luxury, and we adapted quickly and were very grateful.

You come from the future, and I dont know what its like in your world, but I think the assumption about us is harsh. What is primitive? What is uncivilized? Surely this is relative. I have heard that there are tribes in the future are far more aggressive and far more prone to war than we are. Our tribes clash, but they have always clashed. I have inherited my fathers vision that the Bathus will one day be far greater in numbers, and I will rule over an Empire. That will only come about by battles, by the enemy surrendering their territories and towns to me. Why do I have this desire? I dont believe I am alone. I believe men are born with such ambitions. Tell me, am I wrong? Are there not tremendous wars in your time that could be called aggressive and uncivilized?

When did spanking become part of your culture?

It has always been so, but spanking is only a small part of a much bigger picture. Spanking is pleasure, but also punishment. A barbarian man must know when to use it as both. Discipline is vital. It keeps harmony and balance. We do not say men are better, but in a relationship only one can rule, otherwise conflicts arent resolved. In our culture women want this. They want to be protected and under a mans authority. Serenity often tests me, though she pretends she doesnt, and for her sake I let her keep that pretense. It can be a burden sometimes, but it is one I carry with joy, because I know it makes the woman I love feel happy and fulfilled.

What is the best thing about being a barbarian?

The best thing? Hmm, that is a difficult question. Our way of being has much to offer. I suppose the simplicity of my life, though I dont know how simple things will be as my ambitions are met, but at the moment I hunt, I enjoy my sensual way of loving Serenity. I play with my fellow clansmen, we drink fermented berry juice. If we are attacked we defend what is ours.  I have heard that your world is far more complicated. Yes, that is the best thing about being a barbarian. Loving, being loved, and living with my tribe in straightforward way.

That's right! And I read them all in one sitting. Filled with action and suspense you also get to relive a classic Romeo and Juliet romance of a long gone era.
The beautiful and intelligent Serenity doesn't follow the rules! When she lands up in the clutches of Killian, The Barbarian, their attraction is unexpected. Soon they are inseparable. But rival tribes bring them to the brink of war, a traitor is on the loose, and Killian is forced to make hard choices for the survival of his clan.
Gripping doesn't begin to describe this book! I give it FIVE FAT BELLIED STARS!

Barbarians roar through a sleepy village, settling in a battered castle that overlooks the tiny town. A free-spirited, flaxen-haired young woman named Serenity sneaks into their forbidden gardens.

The leader's son, Killian, throws her over his shoulder and carries her into his chambers. What she endures is not just a spanking, but another form of chastisement that leaves her breathless. Serenity, however, possesses a defiant soul, and when the discipline is over she rails at him, then storms away.

Killian cannot believe it. Haunted by her brazenness and beauty he arranges for her return. Disaster strikes. During her visit a rival clan launches a surprise attack. The compound is under siege. Serenity is trapped.

The dire circumstances throw them together! Their smoldering chemistry flames to life, but as they surrender to their carnal heat, they unearth a diabolical plot, one that threatens not just their lives, but their future, and the future of the entire clan.

Can Killian protect a willful young woman, while trying to uncover a traitor and save his tribe?
